The Kerikeri market has remained steady through July and August, with sales numbers above the first half of the year average. Excitingly, sales in Kerikeri are on par with this time last year, showing resilience and stability. The average days to sell has settled around 120, and we're thrilled to see properties that have been on the market for some time now finding their new owners! Provincial towns like ours are proving to be more resilient than major centres like Auckland and Wellington in this post-COVID environment.

Key Market Highlights:

  • Increased enquiry and attendance at open homes - a sign of strong buyer interest!
  • Multiple offers are becoming more common, so buyers need to act decisively. Don't risk losing out by making a low or late offer!
  • The increase in sales over $1 million has boosted the median price in our area, indicating strength in the higher-end market.
  • Lower interest rates and increased listing numbers are making it easier for first home buyers to get on the property ladder. Helping young families find their dream home is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.
  • Sellers who proactively address maintenance issues and stage their homes are achieving premium prices.
