It’s wonderful to see exciting new developments around town. Construction of the Te Amo Putoro playground at the Kerikeri Sports Complex is underway, promising to be an fantastic new space for families to enjoy. By all accounts, the winter event Brewfest was a great success, drawing more visitors into town during the low season when numbers are typically quieter.
Many members of our community have generously contributed to decorating the trees along the main street as part of Our Kerikeri Charitable Trust’s yarn bombing project. These vibrant art installations have become popular photo spots for locals and visitors alike, bringing smiles to everyone who sees them.
A heartfelt thank you to the Red Cross ladies whose hard work helps provide clothing for underprivileged children across the district. Such a worthwhile cause truly deserves all the support it can get.
It’s also fantastic to see the Kerikeri Business Association securing funding to enhance our street safety. New cameras and improved lighting will make the town more welcoming and secure for everyone.
All these efforts show that it takes a generous and cooperative community to make Kerikeri a wonderful place to live. We’re proud to be part of such a cohesive community. If you’re looking for ways to get involved, we encourage you to reach out to these organizations and lend a hand.
